About Me

Stephen McFadden has always enjoyed sports. Throughout his high school and college years, he dedicated himself to success on the field. Along the way, he developed a love for writing. Together, these two passions now shape who he is. A competitive athlete at heart, Stephen now roams the sidelines as a sports writer.

Stephen has recently completed work on his first book, “T-Lloyd: In The Trenches“, with co-author Ron Berman. “T-Lloyd” is about a young football star, Thomas Lloyd III, from New Orleans, whose determination in the face of tragedy serves as inspiration for kids all across America. Thomas and his family had to evacuate New Orleans in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina struck. But he finds a way to rise above the situation. Thomas, aka “T-Lloyd”, works hard on the field and the classroom to become a star football player with a bright future.

As a freelance sports writer, Steve has contributed to such news publications as the Daily Facts (Redlands, CA), the Daily News (Los Angeles, CA), the Daily Breeze (Torrance, CA), and the Culver City News (Culver City, CA). Steve has experience covering basketball, baseball, football, softball, tennis, water polo and soccer, although his true passion is writing about football.

“T-Lloyd: In The Trenches” is part of Scobre Press‘ non-fiction reality literature series. Tilted towards young readers, the series is a new twist on the biography, sharing the story of young inspirational athletes that kids can relate to.
